Pogim Foodie outline

I'm interested in...

Conwy is an amazing place to live and work. We've a rich heritage in our buildings and historical sites but there is also a community heritage that also has value.

This project aims to explore our food heritage. We want to:

  • know more about our cultural identity through our food heritage
  • explore how our heritage has been and is protected through social actions like food events.

Over the next twelve months (Dec 2016 - Dec 2017) we’ll be holding events in Conwy, meeting with some of the local businesses that are keeping our food heritage alive and trying some of the food. We’ll be collecting local memories, recipes and stories as well as trying out food practices. Then at the end of the year we’ll be holding an exhibition of everything we’ve found.

We’re really thankful to everyone who’s involved and the Heritage Lottery Fund for helping fund this through their Young Roots. If you want to know more, share a memory or get involved then contact us: http://pogim.org/index.php/contact
